MASTERING INFRASTRUCTURE PROJECT FINANCE-Practical Financial And Structural Issues Surrounding Infrastructure And Other Ppp/Pfi Projects
description

ABOUT THE COURSE

Around the world governments remain keen to access private sector funding for the construction of social assets, for policy reasons and out of necessity. Infrastructure and PPP project financing is still very much in demand and the sector has one of the richest mixes of funding sources within the limited recourselending arena. Capital market providers compete - and cooperate - with traditional bank lenders. Export credit agencies have seen increased demand for their services and development banks have developed new products to compensate for a reduced international commercial bank presence in emerging markets.

This financing sector saw one of the most rapid and dramatic revisions to pricing models of all the project finance markets in the immediate wake of the global financial crisis, with commercial banks in particular responding to the demands of a tighter credit environment.

The foundation of the course has highly practical “tool-kit” approach covering:

  • the qualitative analysis of project risk;
  • quantitative analysis and debt sizing / structuring;
  •  project finance documentation from a commercial as well as a legal perspective.Layered onto this core platform are the variants of project financing techniques employed in the different sub-sectors of the infrastructure / PPP space. You will learn both from structured presentations and by analysing detailed, carefully-tailored case studies specifically developed for this course.
